over 6 years ago – Thu, Nov 23, 2017 at 05:06:08 PM

Hi!  We have updated our wood/charcoal/pellet tray. It is now 10 inches wide instead of 6 inches wide. You will insert it through the front of the oven and slide it to the back. This larger size tray will accommodate more pellets, charcoal and larger pieces of wood. Thank you again to all of our backers!

Gratitude and update

Thanks to all of our backers so far! These past 4 days have been amazing. We are excited to say that we have begun the tooling process. This will ensure that we will be able to deliver our ovens to your homes in the early part of next year. Here’s to cooking homemade pizzas in 2018! We will keep you updated.

Thank you, Napoli Pizza Oven team

New Charcoal/Wood/Pellet Burner Tray Details
over 6 years ago – Tue, Nov 21, 2017 at 03:12:14 PM

Hi! Here are some more details regarding the new tray update, hopefully answering some of the questions backers have.

There are pictures of the new tray up on the kickstarter page now.

The back upper access hatch with handle still exists, so you can remove this door any time during the cooking process to easily add more pellets, charcoal or wood pieces.

The warm up time is about 15 to 20 minutes.

The cooking space has not changed due to this update. The depth of the new tray from front to back is exactly the same as the old tray. This new tray just utilizes the dead space that existed to the left and right of the old tray (the trapezoid shaped area in the back of the oven). The baking stone and overall cooking area remains exactly the same.

A load of pellets can last from 30 minutes to an hour depending on how many you put in the tray. The new tray will allow many more pellets to be added, and you can easily add more anytime during the cooking process through the back upper access hatch. There is a picture of this hatch on the main kickstarter page.

Please let me know if you have any more questions! I think you will all be pleased with this much improved update!

Thank you!
